In the State of California, any contractor performing construction work that totals more than $500 in materials and labor must be licensed by the Contractors State License Board, or CSLB. But with 43 different license classifications, how do you know which is right for your line of work?

Classifications noted as "repealed" are classifications that are no longer licensed by the CSLB. Note that some classifications have been merged with others. You may want to read the descriptions carefully to see if the description of work pertains to your trade.
